2018 Great Lakes Regional Conference
September 15, 2018 at Indiana Wesleyan University (Marion, IN)
CALL FOR PROPOSALS: The NOA Great Lakes Region is now accepting proposals for break-out sessions at our first annual Regional Conference to be held on the beautiful campus of Indiana Wesleyan University at the Phillippe Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Titled “Jumpstarting Your Best Season Yet!,” this one-day event will feature a keynote address by composer and NOA board member, Phillip Seward, and a master class by a very special guest artist, to be announced soon! Break-out sessions led by NOA members will feature topics to encourage opera teaching and directing, and to inspire students and performers in their upcoming roles. The day will culminate in a Members’ Recital of opera and opera scenes, and, for those who wish to participate, the evening performance of La Bohéme by Indianapolis Opera at The Tarkington at the Center for Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana (additional cost). Be sure to save the date on your calendars and to watch for registration information coming soon!
