National Opera Association

The deadline for entries in the Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition is October 15, 2010.

Selected scenes will be invited to perform in the final round in San Antonio at the Annual Convention in January, 2011.

September 15, 2010 is the deadline for NOA's biennial Dissertation Competition for the outstanding dissertation on operatic subjects.  The competition is open to all doctoral candidates whose degrees were/will be conferred between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2010.

As part of NOA’s commitment to the advancement of excellence in opera and musical theatre performance and pedagogy, the annual convention includes a poster session to encourage members, prospective members and friends of NOA to share information about their current research projects.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentations on opera-related topics. This session is designed to highlight original research related to performance, pedagogy, composition, and production.
