The December 2013 Sacred in Opera Newsletter has been posted, which features articles about sacred opera and music drama produced at The Church of the Transfiguration in NYC and a new sacred music drama that was recently premiered at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, The Canticle of the Black Madonna (pictured at left).

The National Opera Association offers opportunities for everyone in the world of opera to work together for the advancement of quality in performance and pedagogy. Whether professional or amateur, pedagogue or performer, staff member or volunteer, you can serve the cause of opera through your membership in NOA.
NOA holds an annual convention featuring performances, panels, workshops, and other continuing-education opportunities for opera educators, professionals, and students. Find out about our recent January, 2013, convention in Portland, OR or learn about next year's planned convention in New York (joint partnership with NATS and OPERA America).
Program Advertising and Exhibitors
Please consider placing an advertisement in the Convention Program. It is an attractive and highly visible publication to effectively reach all those who attend the annual convention.
NOA is comprised of thirteen regions, each with a regional governor, to foster regional activities and collaboration among members. Find out how to get involved and connect with others in your region.
NOA sponsors numerous competitions on an annual or biannual basis, including the Voice Competition, Opera Production Competition, Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition, Chamber Opera Composition, Scholarly Paper Competition, and Dissertation Competition.
