Nominating Committee
Constitutional committee charged with nominating candidates to offices and board of directors positions. Chaired in odd years by the past president.

Governance and Personnel Committee
Periodically reviews and assesses the Constitution and Bylaws, the organizational structure of the organization, and the efficacy of the offices. Acts as the search committee for any current and future staff positions.

NOA Endowments Board of Trustees
Charged with the oversight of NOA endowed funds, making recommendations for investments, and for developing the endowments.

Legacy Steering Committee and IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, Access)
Charged with the operation of the NOA Legacy Project, including selection of honorees and fundraising events.

Competition Committees
Chamber Opera Composition Competition
Charged with the operation of the Chamber Opera Composition Competition, publicizing the competition, including evaluation of scores in the preliminary round, and suggesting improvements to the competition.

JoElyn Wakefield-Wright Opera Stage Director Fellowship
Charged with overseeing the JoElyn Wakefield-Wright Stage Director Fellowship.

Opera Production Competition
Charged with organizing and arranging for adjudication of the submissions to the Opera Production Competition and making recommendations for the improvement of the competition.

Robert Hansen Collegiate Opera Scenes
Charged with running the annual Opera Scenes Competition, including screening applicants, selecting finalists, and administering the final competition at the annual conference.

Charged with running the annual vocal competition, including assisting with selection of preliminary-round judges, selecting finalists, conducting the finals, announcing winners, and suggesting improvements to the competition.

Charged with issuing the call for papers, reading, and selecting the winner of the Scholarly Papers Competition; with issuing the competition announcement, reading and selecting the winner of the biennial Dissertation Competition, and with issuing the call for posters, reading abstracts and selecting presenters for the annual conference Poster Session.
